Meet Candi. Candi is living proof of what some TLC can do to a dog. When Candi arrived in foster care, she was a mess. Heartworm positive, bladder stones the size of golf balls, etc. She took three months to be mended up but now she has been living in her dream home for two years! What a great story!

Good News
The Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project is working to help pet owners afford spay and neuter services in Kaufman and surrounding counties. Please see this link to find the location of the clinic or if you are unable to make the drive to Crandall, there are transport locations available throughout the DFW area. This is a great resource for pet owners who may be struggling to care for their pet. In addition to the low cost spay and neuter programs, they also offer low cost wellness services for vaccinations.

A cat looking for a home
For a change of pace, we are posting about a cat! August Dog Rescue has Mr. Tinker available.
Mr. Tinker found the right tree to get stuck in one month ago, as it was in the front yard of one of our most fabulous fosters! Tinker was rescued and taken inside. He quickly acclimated to indoor life (as evident by the attached pictures), and has his foster mom laughing at every move he makes!
Tinker is a Ragdoll mix, 6 months old, fully vaccinated, neutered, great with other cats, dogs, and kids. Tinker has become part of his foster family and loves to play with his 4 month old chihuahua sister! He has decided the master bed is his own, and his foster mom says he is a total joy to be around. Does Tinker sound like the perfect, joyful addition to your family? If so, please contact Kate at katemwatts@gmail.com. Thanks! Kate and Tinker

Two neutered Sibes in Arlington
Two young, neutered males must be out of the shelter by Saturday! These guys are so sweet looking. They were clearly someone’s pets. It would be awesome to keep them together.
Please give me a shout if you want to foster or adopt. We are completely out of fosters (mostly because our fosters keep adopting!).
Or contact Arlington Animal Services directly.
If you are not interested, please forward to friends and family!
