Sugar is a doll! She is spayed and vaccinated. She would do best as an only dog because she likes to be the center of attention, like any good diva. She is available through Fur the Animals.
This guy was found running the streets and needs a furever home to keep him safe. He is a good boy and very loving, with blue eyes. Please contact Fur the Animals for more information.

Male husky in Euless
The Euless shelter has a young (maybe two years?) male husky. We really would like to move him out of the shelter as they are getting dangerously full. His name is “Oscar”, we know this because he was surrendered by his owner. Apparently he was taking the dog to work every day for the last year and is not able to do that anymore. Oscar is very friendly with people and gets along well with the other dogs. He is house broken and current on all his shots, but not neutered. If you would like to call the shelter and get more information their number is 817-685-1594.
German Shephard Mix at Arlington
This boy is extra, EXTRA sweet, but unfortunately is heartworm positive. Fur the Animals is offering $150 to the adopting family to help pay for heartworm treatment! His Arlington Animal Shelter ID is 9509252. Please email Debra.delaney@arlingtontx.gov and nsanimalrescue@arlingtontx.gov if you can take this one!
Are you ready to adopt Zara?
Zara is ready for her new home. Several months ago Adopt a Husky rescued Zara from a local shelter. She had a horrible bronchial infection, and a minor case of heartworms. Now she’s cured and ready for action. At two to three years of age, Zara can run like the wind with her husky pals, but will calm down enough to be gentle with the kiddos.
Zara is practically perfect in every way. From the moment you meet her, Zara will shower you with love and attention. Of course each of our huskies has just one little quirk to their personalities! Zara….well she’s a runner. Keeping her from leaving the yard is a challenge. But for the diligent husky parent, Zara is well worth the effort.
If you are interested in adopting Zara, or know someone who may be, contact Adopt A Husky at HRescue@yahoo.com or give me a shout.
Zara is waiting to hear from you.
Woo Woo Woo.

DFW SPAY DAY 2010 IS SET FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 22-28, 2010!
From the DFW Spay Day Committee:
We're offering 300 exams, spay or neuter plus rabies and distemper vaccinations for $45 per pet. MAC is partnering with KCAAP (Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project) and TCAP (Texas Coalition for Animal Protection) plus the SPCA along with many local veterinarians, vet techs and volunteers to provide these services.
We have plenty of appointment slots left. KCAAP and TCAP will be providing surgeries from Monday, February 22 through Friday, February 26 and the week will culminate on Sunday, February 28 at the SPCA's Martin Spay Neuter Clinic with additional surgeries.
Refer this service to anyone who needs it! All the information to make an appointment is on the DFW Spay Day website at www.dfwspayday.org (click the picture above to link to the website).
How can you help?
Volunteers are still needed at all locations. The wonderful folks who volunteered last year had a great day! So let us know if you'd like to help.
Donations to cover the expenses are appreciated. This is an expensive event to orchestrate. We so appreciate anything you can afford. We know it's been a tough year for all of us but the animals still need us.
All the information you need to volunteer, ask a question or donate is on the DFW Spay Day website (www.dfwspayday.org). You can click on the picture above to link to the website.
Look forward to hearing from you!!

Fwd: Sky, a 2 year old female husky
We're still in search of a foster or forever home for Ms. Sky.
Sky was at the shelter in a closet with a heater on after having escaped a yard tied to a tree with no food.
She was only 23 pounds, but has now topped the scales over 30. She is still a very picky eater, but otherwise is acting like a typical husky.
She's very friendly, and loves other dogs.
She's just around 2 years old, and needs a loving home to shower her with attention, food and exercise.
Might that be you?
There's a terrific dog waiting to surface!
Give us a shout if you can help Ms. Sky. Sky still needs to be spay and go through heartworm treatment. However, we are waiting to get some meat on her bones before starting the treatments.

A message from August Dog Rescue
Team, as always, you did it!!
We just finished going through the emails and donations ..... counting all of the pledges as well as donations currently received, we have reached the $1000 challenge goal in one afternoon - a true miracle and testament to how awesomely caring all of you are!
Many thanks to American Dog Rescue (https://www.americandogrescue.org/) for providing the $1000 challenge grant and making this special challenge, and achievement of paying the medical bills for the Carrollton Six, possible!
We’ll continue working hard to honor your support and confidence by taking excellent care of these precious dogs, getting them rehabilitated and into great homes.
Bella, Duckie, Skim, Dude, Dulce, and Cooper thank you for caring about them and helping to make their rescue possible!!
